Free Monthly Hikes

Florida is home to the greatest diversity of plants and animals in the entire United States. As a certified Florida Master Naturalist, it’s my goal to teach as many people as possible about the amazing plants and animals that call our state home. The key to protecting these vulnerable habitats is understanding their value. That’s why I offer these tours for free. All I hope to gain from these tours is the ability to help others develop a greater appreciation for the nature of Florida. These hikes are limited to 10-20 participants, depending on the location. Hikes take place at various parks in Charlotte, Lee, Collier, and Sarasota counties.

If you are interested in a private hike for yourself and your friends or family, please visit my Private Hikes page for more details on how to schedule one.

Participants must be able to walk approximately three to twelve miles, depending on the hike (mileage is posted in each event). Bring bug spray, sunscreen, and water. During the hike, you’ll learn about the local flora and fauna. I always encourage questions and will do my best to answer them for you. The hikes take approximately 1-3 hours, depending on how far we go, how many questions are asked, and how many wonderful things we see along the way.

I hope you’ll join us and learn more about Florida and the amazing nature you’ll find here!
